About Dan

My name is Dan Wolf and I am a trained Spiritual Director as well as a trained Ignatian Director through Sustainable Faith. I have been working in “soul care” for almost 15 years.  I offer these different types of soul care for you to choose from. I offer both of these because I believe that they are both instrumental spiritual practices in a person’s life and yet they are both unique and different enough that they can meet you right where you are in your own life. You can choose which meets your own needs for the season of life that you are in. They are both very effective in caring for you and will offer you the opportunity to be in a very safe space where you can share what is going on in your life with complete confidence in knowing that my main purpose is to help you find the deep freedom that Jesus desires for your life.

Why Spiritual Direction?

What’s the point?

The term "spiritual direction" generally refers to the practice of guiding individuals on their spiritual journey. It involves meeting with a trained spiritual director, who listens, reflects, and offers insight to help the directee (you) discern God's presence in their life, deepen their relationship with God, and grow in spiritual maturity. Spiritual direction is not limited to any particular tradition, though it is often rooted in Christian practices and theology.

What Is Ignatian Direction?

Ignatian Spiritual Direction is a method of guiding individuals in their spiritual journey based on the principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The Ignatian Exercises allows individuals to undertake the Exercises in a "retreat in daily life," meaning they can complete the Exercises over a longer period of time, typically 9 months.
